Here's the second installment of the answers to your questions...please let me know if you're enjoying this or if it's overkill :)
What do you dream of most often? Most often at the moment, I dream of having my own home. I have been married for 5 years and lived in 7 different places. I love the idea of having a home where I can settle, decorate and call “home” home for a really long time. I want to have a garden, flower trellises and a craft room. I want my kids to have a yard to play in, neighbors to play with and the security of belonging somewhere. I want to be established and rooted in a community. I want the rooms to be filled with the sounds of our growing family and filled with the smells of healthy, tasty food. Right now this is my most frequent dream.
If you could change one thing about yourself, would you? If so, what would it be? I am working on changing a few things about myself. Things I think that areas of needed growth…you see my goal is really to become more like Jesus. But the question asks for one thing and this is the one I chose: Being so negative.
If you could tell 14 year old Petra one thing what would it be? If you could ask 75 year old Petra one thing what would it be. I’d tell: Learn how to know what is the truth about who you are. Don’t listen to the lies. I’d ask: Did you live with no regrets?
What are your strong points? Your weak points? My strengths: wisdom & discernment, inner strength, self awareness, love & deep care for others, and creativity. My weaknesses: negativity, worry, perfectionism, and stubborness. I realize that perfectionism could be listed as a strength…and sometimes it is for me…but I struggle with it much more as weaknesses and here is why. I often won’t do something if I lack the time or resources to do it perfectly. It really hinders me and it is something I have been working on for a long time and still have a long way to go. I also use my standard of perfectionism as my standard for life and easily slip into judgment of others.
What makes you come alive? It’s simple: Creating…especially creative creating.
(if you’d like me to elaborate on that one…just let me know)
