The kids and I had a great day together. I let Ian take the car to work and we had an 'at home day'. We did a lot this morning...cleaning, playing with blocks, laundry, watching Dora, organizing, reading books, etc... They played really well together and Lyric was a great helper (Atticus...he did a lot more UN-doing than doing)My mom stopped by and brough us lunch from Great Harvest (Yum!) and the kids loved seeing her as always. The kids napped while I did the usual 'try and get as
much done as possible while they're sleeping routine'.After nap time we got to spend sometime outside and enjoy the absolutely lovely almost-spring day. Of course I brought my camera out with us!Life is a bit crazy in my mind right now but moments like these are so special to me. I love soaking in the outdoors with my kids and letting the sun warm our winter-weary hearts
I miss being childlike. I mean sure I try to be that way in my faith...but I mean the 'no cares in the world, I'm just me' child-likeness. That's what I love about having kids. Being around them helps you not forget. It reminds you that mostly life is not about anything more than just being yourself and doing what you love. That's been the focal thought in my mind lately. Who am I at the core of myself? (not that I don't know, sometimes I just like to refocus and remind myself) What do I love to do? What do I love to do that I'm not doing? What do I spend too much time doing that is a waste of time? How can I eliminate clutter and get down to the beautiful simplicity of just being me. I love simplicity. I love that my children enjoy running around outside...just for the sheer pleasure of running around outside. I want to never stray far from that. I want to inspire myself to be a better me. To never be far from the things I love doing and to do them just because I love to do them. With those thoughts in mind I thought I would open myself up to you and answer questions you might want to know about me. Here's what you do. Comment and post 1-5 questions that you'd like me to answer. Simple, deep, complex, etc... As long as they are not in appropriate I will answer them. My hope being that as I answer I will be reminding myself of the things that make me me. Please if you lurk take the time to comment...here's your chance to ask me (pretty much) anything :)
