Stream of Consciousness

Since I have been trying to spit out a blog this week and keep putting it off because I simply cannot narrow down and decide on what I actually want to blog about...I thought I would do a stream of consciousness post. Basically just put all my thoughts (ok well not ALL of them...we'd be here until the next millennium) down in one post and let you (my readers, well maybe there are some of you out there who actually read my blog) mull over my thoughts with me.

My children astound me in there differences...this does extend beyond their gender...but at the moment I am wowed by how I love the opposite preferences in my dissimilarly gendered children. On the subject of children my husband and I have once again started to pour over the baby name books. No I'm not pregnant again....yet. But we basically take forever to plan and get our 3-named children's names and meanings collected into a way we like. Plus we have to keep up the caliber of names. I mean we're looking at coming up with something that means and sounds as good as Lyric Avrilessa Honor and Atticus Elah Courage (ok well to us at least, there are probably plenty of people who think those names are not as cool as we do!) Speaking of my kids again...Atticus learned how to say the word 'Sock' today. And it is with perfect pronunciation and the cutest little look on his face. A lot better than Lyric's first version which ryhmed with sock but started with an entirely different letter (think abC's) I'm on day 5 of the Love Dare...and it's really been an incredible journey even in just the past 5 days. No my marriage is not in trouble. I saw the book at the library and thought 'why not?' I'm sure I can improve on my side of the marriage partnership. A better me? So what I am actually resolving to do for 2010? I am still only on my first resolution. Which is: Read 50 books. I am starting with a mystery novel called "Death in the Garden" by Elizabeth Ironside I'll try and do book reviews. Ok so really I have 2 resolutions. I would really love to have a blog that lots of people read. Enough that I could put adds and make money to save for my family...you know to do special things like buy Digital SLR cameras or have a romantic getaway with my hubby. I believe my writing has the ability...but does my life schedule and time table? And how in God's green earth do I get people to read my ramblings? Who knows? That definitely leads to more thoughts for another day...I was typing this as my kids fell asleep. Now they're breathing deeply and I'm off to read.

If you are interested in doing book reviews, you might be able to dedicate a blog to your reviews and publishers might give you free books to review. My friend does that anyways @ http://diglot.wordpress.com. If you are interested, let me know and I'll find out how you can make it all happen.
