Poop...if you keep reading, it's at your own risk

My children continue to brighten so much of my day...you know except the parts of the day where I'm trying my utmost not to be exasperated. I have a slew of pictures of funny things they've been doing the last few days and maybe when I get my new card reader that I ordered in the mail I can upload them, edit them and get them on here for you to see.

I have also decided while I might be quite crazy to attempt this I am going to kill 2 birds with one stone and potty train my children at the same time. I know I know...but Atticus is advanced and Lyric will be motivated if they're both doing it...and I'm ready for a break from cloth diapers. So we shall see...I'm sure there will be more on that later.

Speaking of the potty...Lyric thinks the place to poop is the bath. Seriously. Is she almost 3? Oh yes. But does she regularly poop in the bath. Yes. It is gross. Atticus thinks its mud...I'll let your imagination run wild with that one...because what your thinking probably does happen. I am so thankful for 2 tubs in this apartment and for the short walkway that I have to make several times a week carrying soggy wet children from one to the other so that they actually benefit from a bath (you know: end up CLEAN) and aren't worse off then when they got in.

That happened last night. It was the worst it has ever been. I guess Atticus decided the poop looked like something he should throw. It was all over the bathroom floor when I peeked my head around the corner from tidying the living room (our apartment is so small i'm literally around the corner). Well the smell gave it away. I was just hoping someone had farted. I was so very wrong. That's what I get for wishful thinking. Cleaning poop out of the bath is worse then changing diapers. I even thought to myself...I would rather change a poopy diaper a day for the next 20 years then do that again. Of course I was exaggerating in my mind....but not much.

Oh but that is not the end of my poopy tales for the week. Today I knew that Atticus had pooped in his diaper. So I started to change him. As I took his diaper off it was clear he wasn't finished...so i put him on the toilet. He sat there and pulled toilet paper off the roll and candles off the counter but nothing. I took him off and went to go get him a diaper. 1 second later he had pee'd and pooped on the floor. I cleaned it up quickly. I turned to go get him and managed to see the rest 'escaping' from his bum and catch it just in time in the diaper I was holding in my hand.

And I'm not even officially potty training yet.

Oh motherhood.
