Not Me Monday!

It will be short this week

I did NOT make myself sick just by being utterly exhausted. That would mean that I was working from sun-up til sun-down for 2 weeks straight...packing, cleaning, sorting, organizing PLUS being a wife and mommy the jobs that never stop. This was NOT followed by 2 nights of less than 3 hours of sleep, oh and one of those nights definitely did NOT involve driving through the night from Colorado to Oklahoma. I then only napped for an hour of so. Doing something like this could NOT possibly make my little 5'2'' frame sick for 2 days, throwing up and nearly passing out so that I had to stay in bed and rest and sleep. Nope, Not me!

I did NOT get so tired of packing to leave Colorado that I started throwing away perfectly good things. Things that people could have used and that the needy would have benefited from. I did NOT justify my actions in my head with the thought, "well maybe a homeless person will find this, or someone who goes dumpster diving". Nope, NOT me!

I did NOT eat healthy food for breakfast and lunch and then give up in the middle of the afternoon when I couldn't find anything healthy I wanted to eat and eat my final cup of Tapioca pudding, thus negating before mentioned healthy eating. Nope, Not me!

I did NOT suffer in the house we're staying in for the summer because I thought the thermostat was set at 78 when it was really at 84. We were not all sitting in the rooms with fans, sticky and sweating because I didn't double check. This did not happen for 2 full days, until yesterday evening when I was going to break down and adjust it...Nope NOT me!

I did not quickly contemplate giving all 3 of the dogs that live at my parent's house an upper cut to the jaw all at the same time. This was not because the 13 year old deaf/blind/arthretic Pele was trying to sneak in the house while the puppy Storm was alternating between sneaking in the house, scratching my leg and getting attacked by the 3 year old Ranger who was guarding his, er i mean Pele's food which he stole and decided was his. Nope NOT me!

I did NOT fight my daughter for an hour to get her to go back to sleep last night after she woke up an hour into the night. I did not throw all my hard work out the window because I just couldn't take it anymore and put on a movie for her to watch instead. I am always a consistent parent in spite of an hour of screaming and hysterics in a very hot house (this was also before I realized the thermostat error and we were both sweating lots and very sticky). I never give in to keep my sanity. Nope NOT me!

p.s. these turn out so much better when i jot down stuff during the week. better posts next week i hope!
